Emma's BackgroundI’ve always been the sporty type, over the years I’ve played all sorts of team sports, netball, hockey and rowing to name a few as well as enjoying athletics, road and cross country running. Currently my training focus is purely on getting stronger after being introduced to the barbell as part of my rehab from a knee injury.
In a past life I had a successful career in equipment management; working in the head offices of some big brands in the grocery and quick service food sectors. I’ve balanced training for a fairly speedy marathon (2:54) with a high pressure job, long commutes and field meetings as well as trying to have some sort of life and look after myself. I learnt the pitfalls of overtraining the hard well and use those experiences as the skeleton of my own training practice and the programmes I right for my clients. |
